[Ba(ClO₃)₂•H₂O] White powder.

Oxidizer that also works as a coloring agent and chlorine donor. Produces the very finest, rich, green flame color.

Although they are not interchangeable with barium chlorate, other green coloring agents are the oxidizer barium nitrate and the salt--barium chloride. Boric acid is used in some liquid fire formulas.
