Product Information

(cupric oxide) [CuO] Dark brown to black powder.

Commonly used as a blue coloring agent or in crackling star formulas. Also used in thermite compositions.

Although they are not interchangeable with copper oxide, other blue coloring agents are copper (II) carbonate, copper (II) oxychloride and copper benzoate.
