Ordering

Methods

The fastest and most accurate method to order is to use the shopping cart on this web site. Especially, if you are a first-time customer, this can get your order delivered days faster. This is because you won’t have the time consuming tasks of printing out your order, sending us your identification, waiting for confirmation, resending bad faxes, etc. etc. Of course, you can mail, fax, phone, or e-mail your order in, as long as your identification and Hold Harmless Agreement are already on file with us or are included with your first order. If they are not, and if you are ordering age-restricted products, your order will be returned to you or held until you provide them to us. It is fine to include your ID and the Hold Harmless Agreement with your first order. But the fastest and easiest way is to place your order online.  If you are required to prove your age, you can use the online age verification feature.

Where We Ship

Unless indicated otherwise, everything we sell can be shipped to you in any location in the US.  Skylighter does not ship anything outside the USA.  Sorry, but we will not make any exceptions to this policy.

Out of Stock Items

Any item you order that is temporarily out of stock will be “back-ordered.” The remainder of your order will be shipped to you, unless you tell us to hold your order and ship everything at one time. As soon as the replacement inventory for the back-ordered item arrives here, we will automatically ship it to you, unless you request otherwise. You are not charged for back-ordered items until they are shipped to you. We do charge for shipping on back-ordered items.

Busy Season: April 1-August 30

The busiest time of the year for us is during the weeks immediately before each July 4th, which is Independence Day in the United States. If you order anything during this period, you may experience delays in receiving your order. If you want to be sure that you will have what you need in time for your July 4th display, order it before May. All the other guys who waited until the eleventh hour, and ordered before you did, have an uncanny knack for buying up all of the critical stuff you will need for your Fourth of July shoot. If you wait until June to order your Fourth-of-July goods from us, there's an excellent chance that we may have run out of an item and that you won't get what you need or in time.

Visits to Our Warehouse

Please understand that we are a mail-order business, not a retail store. We are not really geared for unscheduled "walk-in" or casual visitors. We have no retail showroom and do not have folks around who can help you as they would in a retail store. However, if you place your order online at least two days before you want to pick up your order, we are certainly happy for you to come by and save yourself all those delivery and hazmat fees.  Just order using the shopping cart on this web site, and pick Warehouse Pickup as the shipping method.  You will be asked to pick the date and time you want to come by.  After your order is confirmed, an email with turn-by-turn directions to our warehouse will be sent to you as well.

Order by Mail

To mail an order to Skylighter, use the website just like any other order. First add all items to your shopping cart. When you're finished click the "Checkout" button. Continue through each screen until you see the credit card page. (You can either send us credict card info or a check/money order for the amount listed on the invoice.)  There you will see an option to "Mail Your Payment to Skylighter." Click that button. Then click on "Place my secure order."  When you see the Order Confirmation page, print two copies of it. Keep one for yourself and mail the other to us with your payment at:

You can call us to place an order anytime during our normal business hours: 9am – 5 pm, Eastern time, Monday - Friday. Our phone number is 805-772-7853. Before you call, please make a list of the Item Numbers for the products you'd like to buy and the quantity of each that you want. However, if you're unsure of what you need, our staff will be happy to assist you in figuring that out.

To fax an order to Skylighter, use the website just like any other order. First, add everything you want to your shopping cart. When you're finished, click the "Checkout" button. Continue through each screen until you see the credit card page. (You can either send us credit card info or a check/money order for the amount listed on the invoice.) There you will see an option to "Mail Your Payment to Skylighter." Click that button. Then click on "Place my secure order." When you see the Order Confirmation page, print two copies of it. Keep one for yourself and fax the other to us with your credit card number and expiration date. Be sure and include your voice and fax numbers and email address in case we have any questions.

Order Confirmation

Within a few minutes of completing your order online, you will receive an email from Skylighter confirming receipt of your order.  Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation by email along with a tracking number.
