CH5101

(barium dinitrate; nitric acid, barium salt; bariumdinitrate; nitrate de baryum (French); nitrato barico (Spanish); Nitrobarite; ) [Ba(NO3)2] Sugary white crystals

Barium nitrate is an oxidizer used to produce green colors in fireworks. This particular material is MilSpec, military surplus powder made by Barium & Chemicals. It is very high quality, very pure (makes deeper greens), and ordinarily very expensive. Also used as an oxidizer in sparklers and some flash powders. Chunky or granular barium nitrate can be easily coffee-milled to fine powder before most uses.
